Motion Graphics Workshop Led By Peter Clark (callmeclark) @enternull

2024 - LCAD

Project Objective

Create a 12 second (lol) video that accompanies a provided sound sample (oops) and represents the theme of interval utilizing workshop techniques to manipulate and generate imagery.

Interval

An intervening time or space

A pause or break in activity

A space between two things: a gap

The difference in pitch between two sounds

Technique

Using the Tachyons+ Dreamweapon to distort and manipulate input video and animation which is then recorded from a crt television and composition in after effects.

Other techniques learned but not used in my final deliverable were cymatics using sand and audio vibrations and filming of graphics through refractive materials to create physical distortions of the video inputs.

My background as a ballet dancer gave me inspiration to juxtapose the precise movements and intervals of classical ballet with the aesthetic of broken digital and analog media like crt and glitches. Following the workshop i made a longer cut and put it to different music ("I Know" by Trent Reznor)
